GOVERNMENT

Current Mayor-Jeff Mulligan

Since the creation of Saskatchewan and Alberta in 1905, one of lloydminster's most challenging obstacles has been itsbi-provinciality.from its time as two separate entities, the twon of lloydminster, Saskatchewan and the village of lloydminster, Alberta, to the 1930 amalgamation, to the present challenges of governing a city based in two provinces, the issue is explored in its entirety.
What makes lloydminster unique is that is one municipality in two provincial tensions and fostering a united community spirit is something of which the residents of lloydminster should be proud.
